YESTERDAY…
On June 14th 1971 Gemma Modenesi founded Athena Collezioni, a family company. From the beginning it proposed unique and original printed fabrics, relying on artists designer, among them Aimone Modonesi, Gemma’s husband, who designs some of the most important products for Athena’s success: Gomitolo” – “Spirale” taken from his works of modern art.
In the mid-80s their son Wolfango collected his heritage and started developing the contract part of the company, a sector still fully active on these days, adding to the home collection fireproof fabrics for hotels supplies.

TODAY…
Nowadays, we are in the 3rd generation and Wolfango has his daughter Grischa at his side.
She carries out research, studies and works on the company’s fabrics with passionate resolution; fabrics that her grandmother, and company founder, had laid for its success.
Athena Collezioni has always dedicated its distribution to furniture retailers, also availing itself of a constant collaboration with numerous local architecture firms. For a few years the company has been engaged in expanding abroad, using international distributors.

The sartorial workshop inside the company has expert hands that prepare and make curtains and other textile items.
